Laboratory Services

The laboratories provide physicochemical testing services to academia and research, serving the university community and the general public. The research laboratory is highly qualified to offer services such as analytical testing, consulting, and technical support. It also collaborates with teaching and research activities that contribute to the development of the Central University of Ecuador and society, helping to address the country's problems in its areas of expertise. We envision ourselves as a leading research laboratory, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, infrastructure, and staffed by highly experienced, capable, and discerning personnel, working to advance science for the benefit of the community, adhering to quality standards, and committed to sustainable development and the social environment.

DPEC Laboratory

Provides specialized analysis and monitoring services in the environmental, energy, and process sectors. It offers physicochemical and microbiological testing of water (natural, wastewater, and drinking water), soils, and sediments, as well as analysis of petroleum and its derivatives.

In addition, it conducts environmental monitoring of noise, combustion gases, and particulate matter, along with laboratory intercomparison processes to ensure the quality of results, and performs in situ sampling across different matrices, ensuring reliability and technical rigor at every stage of the analysis.
